Great weekend to bow out of minimax at my favourite circuit, Clay Pidgeon.
I went into the weekend 14 points behind my friend Aiden who was leading the championship. Qualifying went well, I was fastest every lap and managed to grab pole.
Heat 1 I started pole but being first found the slippery side of the circuit and went wide into Billy’s and was third by the end of the first lap. I had good pace and manged to nick second with a lap to go and should have really got first but ran out of laps.
Pre-Final, starting second, I had a good start, passed the front sitter and drove away to finish 4 seconds ahead. The final, I got a good start and held it to finish 1st. Little did I know I had also clinched the championship by 1 point. Thanks to Nick Jest at Xenon for rebuilding my engine a day before and thanks always to my No1 Sponsor DPS.
